Swamp River are an Edinburgh & London based Swamp Rock, Roots and Blues based band comprising road-tested veterans of the UK and international music scene, to appreciate the timeless music of John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Chris Hargrave (Vocals, Guitar) has forged an international career as a soloist and songwriter, playing also with a number of London, European and Scandinavian based acts, incorporating celebrated contributors such as guitarist Albert Lee (Emmylou Harris, Eric Clapton), drummer Ritchie Hayward (Little Feat), and Norwegian/Danish sensation, singer/guitarist JP West.  Guitarist and singer Sandy Tweeddale has forged a reputation as one of the UKs top performers on the global blues and roots scene, travelling through Europe and Australia as a soloist, touring and recording as songwriter and guitarist with BB King-endorsed blues legends Blues ’n’ Trouble, with Louisiana bluesman Lazy Lester, Scots Rock and Blues Diva Maggie Bell, and numerous others. Drawing inspiration from his deep knowledge and appreciation of the blues masters, as likely to be seen picking ragtime on a battered resonator guitar at a folk festival as rocking a rabid crowd in a blues club or concert hall, Sandy’s emotive singing and guitar playing have won him fans all over the world. In a professional career encompassing more twists than Chubby Checker, bass player Rod Kennard has played sessions, produced, and toured all over Europe and Scandinavia with a variety of bands and ensembles. Currently based in Edinburgh, Rod has lately worked with master of the Telecaster Jerry Donahue, guitar legend James Burton, the Timo Gross Band (Germany), Scotland's international Blues stars Blues ‘n’ Trouble, Boogie Woogie, Blues and Soul Jazz piano sensation Daniel Smith, the Jensen Interceptors, Scots Rock and Blues Diva Maggie Bell, and many more.  Drummer Willy Molleson is a long time member of British traditional and contemporary folk music queen Eliza Carthy's eclectic ensemble, and is in constant demand for his unique contribution to both recording and live projects by Britains leading Jazz, Funk, and Roots musicians. Hargrave and Kennard have been playing gigs in Norway since the 1980s. Sandy and Rod are colleagues in Blues 'n' Trouble, and together have backed such artists as James Burton, Maggie Bell, and Otis Grand - and Willy has been their long time collaborator in a number of side projects. Now they unite to celebrate their mutual love of the extraordinary, and sometimes underappreciated, work of John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
