SKIPINNISH

Skipinnish are riding an ever-growing wave of popularity and 2017 has been the biggest year for the band since they began way back in 1999 when co-founders Andrew Stevenson and Angus MacPhail joined forces. With increased numbers from these early days and with the addition of lead vocals and full back line, the last few years have seen this band hit the very top of the music scene in Scotland. With hit after hit of self penned songs and a strong mix of powerful bagpipe, fiddle and accordion led tune sets, they encompass the very best of contemporary Celtic Music.

Their large and growing fan base is such that all Skipinnish gigs in 2017 sold out in advance. From Eden Court Theatre in Inverness to The Queens Hall in Edinburgh and from the Albert Halls in Stirling to the famous Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, every show has been full and audiences have been going wild! The Barrowland show, which was the band’s biggest gig to date, sold out completely four months before the concert and all gigs announced so far for 2018 are on the way to capacity ticket sales already.

As well as their own stand-alone performances, Skipinnish are one of the hottest acts on the vibrant music festival scene at the moment. Having headlined some of Britain’s biggest festivals in 2017, they have some exciting but limited festivals appearance in line for 2018.

Ted Christopher & Bannockburn Band

Ted Christopher is one of Scotland's finest performers. He is a well travelled and extremely versatile singer songwriter. He is equally at home whether singing heart felt originals to a concert audience, belting out Scottish favourites to the Tartan Army or playing some of his huge pop/rock repertoire to a packed dance floor. Unphased by any size of audience, he played to 750,000 people on The Mall in Washinton DC. A week later there were 12 in Cowie Miners Welfare. How's that for a quick reality check? and they were both great gigs. Ted has been involved in the Scottish live music scene since he was fifteen. He is proud to be a native of The Royal and Ancient Burgh of Stirling (Stirling is now a city but he much prefers the previous description of his hometown) and was born and raised a mere claymores length from Stirling Castle and The National Wallace Monument.

Ted performs many solo gigs, sometimes uses a couple of musicians as “The Ted Christopher Band” and of course fronts “Bannockburn”.
