Pictism hail from Edinburgh, Scotland, and perform as anything from a 2-piece to a full 7-piece ensemble, according to the occasion, with a setlist that includes traditional Scottish and Irish music, and contemporary covers with a Celtic twist... from Burns to Cash, with a few jigs and reels thrown in for good measure! The complete line-up includes male and female vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, fiddle, mandolin and tin whistle.
Land of Cakes
Land of Cakes is an Edinburgh rock band. They consist of Andy (guitar & vocals), Darren (bass), Kirsty (vocals) and David (drums and vocals). You might find a few musical reference points ranging from the Velvet Underground, Pixies, Teenage Fanclub, Low to name just a few of our inspirations. Theylike to combine delicate melodies and harmonies with all out noisiness when necessary. It is often necessary. Their name, Land of Cakes, is an alias for Scotland, courtesy of Robbie Burns. They are a bit obsessed with classic guitars and amps and feature a Gibson SG, Fender Telecaster, Fender Jazz Bass and Pearl, Luwig and Zildjian percussion if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Welcome to Land of Cakes.
