The Mad Ferret Band are a Scottish duo, known on the folk scene for their hard hitting blend of traditional and contemporary Folk music. Their lively, energetic performances are packed with “blisteringly fast Mandolin solos”, tight harmonies, driving Cajon beats and earth-moving Guitar sounds. The influence from both Scottish and Irish folk music has helped shape their unique sound.
The Duo features Chris Woods on Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals and Sandy Stirton on Guitar, Cajon and Vocals.
Based in Perth, Scotland they are an extremely hard working band having played an average of 180 gigs a year across the U.K. and Europe. Since forming in 2012 they have been honing their music by playing the pub and small venue scene. They look to be even busier in 2015, with more festival performances and European tours on the way.

True Gents were formed by Schoolfriends Euan Nicol and Tobe Jeffery in 2006. They would meet up in the haunting woods of Invermay, Perthshire and work on songs late into the day.
Their music eventually caught the ear of local veteran music producer Robin Wynn-Evans (Manic Street Preachers, Sam Brown, The View, Dodgy), who promptly invited them up to his T-Pot studios to record. The CDs from those sessions received warm reviews, and the line-up expanded steadily, to create a full band with their own unique sound. Influences range from Moody Alt Folk, Rock, Indie, to sea shanties and psychedelia
The True Gents EP was released independently on CD and digital distribution in September 08' and has received positive reviews in the press and media, followed with extensive Touring venues, pubs and festivals around Scotland, sharing the bill will groups such as Shooglenifty and The Levellers.
