Harry & the Hendersons are a 7-piece Glaswegian outfit featuring a menagerie of instruments that come together creating a sweet, but unusual, blend of Americana / Country / Folk showcasing impressive vocal harmonies and incredible songwriting ability. This eclectic mix engages an honest, classic approach to songwriting, building a groove that is irresistible.
The Dana Dixon Band
Singer and harmonica player Dana Dixon grew up in a house which was filled by her fathers music. Although living and raising a family in the UK her father was born in Texas, USA and it was his love of blues and American roots music which was a major influence on his young daughter. Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and BB Kings music was heard regularly in the household but it was the sound of harmonica blues by artists such as Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson and Big Walter Horton that really excited Dana. She soon started learning the harmonica and singing the songs she heard on her fathers records. With this in mind its no surprise that The Dana Dixon Bands sound is an intoxicating mix of authentic Texas, Chicago and west coast jump blues plus other influences such as rockabilly and 50s R&B.
