Dirty Little Funk
Formed by 3 young, talented musicians from the Scottish Borders in early 2015, Dirty Little Funk are an explosive power trio with a talent for putting a super-tight, imaginative twist on classic blues/rock covers. Currently working on original material also.
The Honey Badgers
The Honey Badgers are Andrew Sinclair (vocals), James Shaw (guitar), Simon Smith (bass) & Brian Tofts (drums). They formed in 2001 & fuse classic rock influences with alternative modern rock to create their own blend of original material. James & Brian were founding members of Beggars Day who recorded the 6 track EP, Bigger Than God, with Grammy nominated producer Paul Talbot. With Simon joining the band they also toured Northern Europe playing festivals, performing live on radio & appearing on national television. When the band returned to Scotland they started working with Andrew & the Honey Badgers were born. The band released a self-produced 12 track CD in 2010 & recorded in London during November 2011 with Arno Guveau & Steve Honest. They have recently been back in the studio recording new material with producer Martin Oswald & have been reviewed in Scotland's national newspaper, the Daily Record, receiving critical acclaim from Rick Fulton. 2016 was a great year for the band, with particular highlights being opening the Saturday night rock show on Amazing Radio & ending the year with a headline appearance at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in December. With each band member actively involved in the songwriting their music has grown over the years & is now focused on a more authentic rock sound combining riffs with melodies & musical dynamics in abundance.
