Blues 'N' Trouble
Rising from the depths of Livingston in the central belt of Scotland in the early 1980s, Tim Elliott and Blues ‘n’ Trouble have journeyed from their Edinburgh roots to secure an international audience and fan base, touring incessantly, working with blues greats such as Robert Cray, Pinetop Perkins, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. Their Chicago blues inspired sound, delivered with take-no-prisoners attitude and barely controlled energy behind Tim’s impassioned vocal and harmonica, caused BB King to remark that B ‘n’ T were “the best white blues band in the world” - an opinion reinforced by the winning of a WC Handy award for their album with Louisiana bluesman Lazy Lester.
Tim Elliott, founder of Blues ‘n’ Trouble in the late 1970s, has announced that the band will cease playing after 24th May 2017 – no engagements will be made for B’n’T after this date. Get your tickets for their final show!
The Mad Ferret Band are a Scottish duo, known on the folk scene for their hard hitting blend of traditional and contemporary Folk music. Their lively, energetic performances are packed with “blisteringly fast Mandolin solos”, tight harmonies, driving Cajon beats and earth-moving Guitar sounds. The influence from both Scottish and Irish folk music has helped shape their unique sound.
The Duo features Chris Woods on Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals and Sandy Stirton on Guitar, Cajon and Vocals.
Based in Perth, Scotland they are an extremely hard working band having played an average of 180 gigs a year across the U.K. and Europe. Since forming in 2012 they have been honing their music by playing the pub and small venue scene. They look to be even busier in 2015, with more festival performances and European tours on the way.
